I am a history teacher and head of department at a north London private school, who brings enthusiasm, curiosity and expertise from the classroom and puts it into every VoiceMap tour that I write. I also have more than 15 years experience of planning and leading school trips, from London to Berlin and New York, with a view to bringing history to life for the toughest audience out there...teenagers!
Having both an MA in Art History (UCL) and in History (QMUL) I am interested in writing genuinely substantive and informative tours, that lift the lid on all aspects of the city and its past, often with a particular focus or flavour.
I am also a keen amateur cook, a dabbler in perfume making, a fan of theatre, literature, film, politics, economics...pretty much everything!...which is all to say that my priority when planning and writing a tour is to hunt down and reveal as many fascinating tidbits of London's life and history a I can, while keeping it coherent and thoughtful.
