Bonjour, I'm Jen, the writer and photographer behind Dabbling in Jet Lag, a blog about life and travel in France.
My love for all things French started long before I ever set foot on French soil. Back in high school, I studied the language and dreamed of one day wandering the streets of Paris. That dream came true in 2012, when I landed a job and moved right into the heart of the city. I couldn't get enough of it. To hold onto those early memories, I started my website as a hobby, sharing stories and photos from my adventures. Bit by bit, that little side project grew into my full-time work.
I adored my Parisian life, but I found myself craving something calmer. Then, in 2019, a simple weekend trip changed everything. I fell head over heels for Strasbourg and packed my bags soon after. Since moving here, I've explored every cobblestone corner of this charming Alsatian town, camera always in hand. Today, I write detailed travel guides about Strasbourg and the wider Alsace region, helping fellow travelers discover its half-timbered houses, winding canals, and cozy winstubs.
When I'm not writing or taking photos, you'll likely find me sampling local wine, chasing the perfect light for a sunset shot, or hunting down the best tarte flambée in town. I can't wait to share my little corner of France with you.
