I am a Swedish-Greek journalist, translator and founder of Greek Expedition, a multimedia platform dedicated to exploring Greece beyond the familiar landmarks. For many years, I have researched and documented the country's history, archaeology, culture, language and natural landscapes through articles, photography, guided walks and digital projects.
My work focuses on places and stories that rarely appear in traditional guidebooks, from hidden urban waterways and forgotten neighbourhoods to ancient sanctuaries, remote islands and local traditions. I combine historical research with firsthand exploration, spending countless hours walking, photographing and documenting the places I write about.
Greek Expedition was created to present a broader and more nuanced view of Greece, one that extends beyond the country's most famous monuments and destinations. Through my VoiceMap tours, articles and other publications, I aim to place each location in its historical, cultural and geographical context, allowing visitors to understand not only what they are seeing, but also how each place has evolved over time and why it remains significant today.
